Such a gadget is especially useful when your colour cosmetics occupy too much space in your bathroom or at your dressing table. Collecting cosmetics in one place, you will be able to select only the ones, which you really need and really use. Your own palette can consist of eye shadows and lipstick of either your favourite shades or the trendy ones.

How to prepare your own palette? Obviously, such accessories can be bought at druggist’s or Internet cosmetic sales. You can use CD boxes as well, or other similar containers that can be filled with compartments of various sizes. However, the only problem may be connected with attaching the compartments to the container. In most cases, eye shadows are sold in metal compartments. Such elements can be attached by a magnet. A double sided tape or a good glue will work equally well. And how to put a lipstick into the palette? Naturally, pick the colours you would like to have in your palette, crumble the stick and warm it up, placing the pieces of lipstick on a spoon located above a candle or a cooker’s burner. Obviously, melt only one shade at a time. Next, pour the mixture into the palette. The lipstick will become solid after a certain time.

How to prepare your own palette from scratch? You can start with visiting a stationery shop where you can buy wooden cases or narrow boxes with decorative fasteners. Look also for decorative paper, for example, the one used for scrap-booking, a glue, some ornaments like stickers, soft material such as sponge, scissors, a ruler and a pencil. When you manage to collect all necessary equipment, you can start producing the case of your palette. Take the decorative paper and mark on it the width and length of the box. Next, glue it to the outer parts of the box, folding the paper to the inside. The lid of the box can be covered with the stickers. Now, take the sponge and crop it in order to adjust the sponge to the box’s interior. Next, take out the adjusted sponge and cut out the circles or squares making the place for your eye shadow’s and lipstick’s compartments. Place the sponge inside the box and fill it with the cosmetics of yours, gluing these to the box.
