Micellar water – effects 

A micellar liquid is an aqueous solution containing microscopic beads called micelles. Micelles attract water and repel fats and bind with fats perfectly. Thanks to this property, they absorb excess sebum and particles of waterproof mascara and dissolve other impurities. Importantly, the micellar fluid does not affect the protective barrier of the skin, i.e. the hydro-lipid layer of the epidermis.

Micellar water – composition and properties

The micellar water contains numerous active substances that support its action. They have different properties:

• hyaluronic acid strongly moisturizes and leaves the skin soft,
• panthenol, or pro-vitamin B5, soothes and penetrates deeper layers of the epidermis, thanks to which it affects the proper process of their regeneration,
• extracts from plants, such as orchids or eyebright, give the skin vitality and radiance.
  Thanks to the content of these substances, micellar fluid acts as a toner that refreshes the skin and neutralizes its pH; acts as a cleansing milk that removes make-up and moisturizes the skin; it acts as a gel or a foam face wash that removes all impurities and has an antiseptic effect. It is also a perfect eye makeup remover, even for waterproof products.

A good micellar water contains moisturizing and nourishing ingredients, but it is free of detergents such as Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS). Among other things, this is why it will be useful when treating the sensitive skin around the eyes.

What is micellar water recommended for?

Micellar water can be used by everyone, regardless of skin type. As the product does not contain fragrances, dyes and many preservatives, it is suitable for the care of acne, sensitive, allergic and atopic skin.

How to use micellar water?

Apply a small amount of liquid to a cotton pad and gently wipe the face with it. When using a micellar water for eye makeup removal, you must hold the soaked cotton pad on your closed eyelid for a few seconds.nThis will dissolve the products and it will be easier to wipe gently.
